ÊTRE met en scène des portraits. Elle met l’accent sur la dimension uchronique de personnages du quotidien, sur la possibilité qu’ils puissent échapper à leur propre figure, condition ou histoire. L’enjeu de ce travail est de chercher à partir de l’image quelque chose qui n’a pas d’image, la recherche de l’être, de l’autre-être, de l’intime et de l’universel, simultanément. Comment ces existences, contextualisées aujourd’hui et en Europe, peuvent-elles échapper au piège du simple sujet ? Comment démystifier l’humain pour tenter de l’humaniser à nouveau? Que signifie humain ?

BEING stages portraits. It emphasizes the uchronic dimension of everyday characters, on the possibility that they can escape their own figure, condition or history. The challenge of this work is to seek from the image something that has no image, the search for being, the other-being, the intimate and the universal, simultaneously. How can these existences, contextualized today in Europe, escape the trap of the simple subject? How can we demystify the human being in an attempt to humanize it again? What does human mean?
